Western Digital drive spins and then stops spinning. Unable to read Drive ID. Drive shows up as tornado 2R in kernel mode.

More than likely head failure.
Did the client tell you what happened to the dive?
Has it been dropped?

You have options for RAM head map edit which may help, but if spindle shuts down there is almost certainly some head or heads issue and you should likely check for internal damage (i.e. twisted heads, media damage etc) as repeated attempts to operate can cause further issues.

Customer said drive randomly died.
