eMMC is monolith.
How to solve a monolith cases you can read here: http://blog.acelaboratory.com/pc-3000-f ... ering.html
Basicaly eMMC chip have alive controller chip which allow to read chip via state interface - so, enough to solder just VCC, VCCq VSS, VSSq, CLK, CMD, D0 pins.

I think that much more easy to buy eMMC adapters on Alibaba for 200-300 USD, which would be able to read all eMMC like a common SD cards :) Pretty - and easy, if you are going to work with mobile phone recovery. Like for example:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/eMMC-eM ... 03059.html

But of course you can also use PC-3000 Card Adapter or PC-3000 Spider Board for eMMC reading. But in case if exist an alternative like switch-able USB readers, not sure that it would be a good idea to solder eMMC or to use Spider for their reading. Link that I leave contain all existing eMMC sockets, and cost around 300$.

Well,
My Answer is simple i am glued to PC3K ,You people are responsible for this ,if i do not solder or recover i can digest my food :mrgreen: .Now comming back to my question the ticket i created filipp is saying again and again i can use circuit board adapter 'which is nand interface "according to his latest post to my ticket.I am sure eMMC cannot be interfaced to circuit board adapter as it misses critical stuff like clk "clock" but you people might be able to answer this post more effeciently then me.then he says card adapter is sd interface and emmc is also sd interface "which means i need to have card adapter instead of circuit board adapter to work with this .If i can be provided a schematic how to interface i can rip open a sd card and interface emmc to it if possible

First of all let us know what BGA cover you got - 153/169, 162, 221 or 529 ? Then let us know if controller is working so you can communicate with eMMC by native controller build it - you can check this by connecting BGA to microSD and putting to your PC by blocker.
If it's not connecting then you will need to use Monolithic adapter to connect eMMC by NAND protocol and use PC3000 to find structure, parameters, XOR etc - unfortunelly before this you will need to get same eMMC and use Logic Analyser to find pinout similar as it's described in Blog for Monolith - nobody unfortunelly share eMMC NAND protocol pinouts

You CAN work with eMMC and with Spider Board. The question is - are you really want to use more complex way? :) eMMC chips are not required any special equipment - it is just an SD card in BGA package. Much more easy to use q third-party adapters for their reading. It's cheaper, easy and convenient if you are dealing with Smartphones recovery.

Don't forget that PC-3000 Flash is a perfect tool for data recovery from Storage Devices, like UFD, digital cards, monolith. eMMC - is additional branch from mobile phones, and of course you can use Spider for recovery, but it's just additional feature, not main. So - why not to use special adapters, if you want to deal with eMMC very often?

By the way - here is the picture for eMMC reading through Spider Board. Needles should be setted as on the picture - several for VCC, a couple for VCCq and GND.
And don't forget - during task creation, you need to chose CARD ADAPTER functionality, not a common PC-3000 Flash.

You need to set the following needles:

1. Command line - CLK, CMD, DAT0
2. Power Supply - VCC (red VDD);
3. GND (blue VSS);

No, I do not agree with this approach at all, it is not acceptable. Please look at the overview on Flash V4, you have not catered for mobile phones and tablets as claimed in the overview. Please provide sockets and adapters - at no cost to the customers who have bought the Flash V4 because of the claims made - see the following : http://www.acelaboratory.com/pc3000flash.php

Please don't forget that we saying that we can work with eMMC chips, but how you will connect this chip is depend on you. There rare severals ways of eMMC reading:
-With the help of Multi Board adapter;
-With the help of Card Adapter;
-With the help of Spider Board adapter;

Or you can use extended, not-ACELAB adapter for gain access to data, and use PC-3000 Flash as a software for content extraction.

Roman,
Thanks for your reply. With the claims ACELab made, I expected that I am going to get the adapters for all chips. I realize that monoliths must be treated differently and I have no problem with that procedure.

I have heard from one of your suppliers in the USA that you are not making the monolith adapter set and the extended adapter set anymore and that we will not be able to buy them anymore - I am still on the waiting list for them at your sales department. Your dealer told me that the Spider Board is replacing all those adapters, which is a great shame and I consider it to be such a loss, they have so much potential. As I have suggested before, ACELab can use the monolith adapter set for eMMC and other chips too - design a board with tracks and pads for these chips and future chips. I would prefer an adapter because it is fast and it prevents problems with incorrect manual connections and soldering.

This and the price of the Spider Board are my reasons for not going to purchase it - it is way to expensive for a small shop. I believe that we should be given a choice that we can live with. Large shops will most likely buy 20 Spider Boards at a time and that is fine, but where does it leave the small businesses? The existing equipment has so much potential and it is so much less expensive.

I know that 1 person, me, will not change your mind, so, how about making the circuit diagrams available and I will design my own boards for the monolith set and make them myself too, I have all the design software and equipment. Please do not take the monolith adapter set off the marked. Your dealer in the USA says that it is in very high demand - another reason why you should not pull the plug on it. By all means, make the Spider Board, but remember that it is a manual process, people are going to get connections wrong and it will waste time.

I have already purchased the complete eMMC kit for cell phones and tablets at a really high cost from your USA dealer. You must realize that it is sometimes necessary to mix equipment from different manufacturers to complete a job easy and successfully. The card reader from the monolith adapter set is one such an example.

The botton line is that I have purchased different equipment from you and I have spent a lot of money with you - so, I do not want to go to different manufacturers like I have done with the eMMC adapters.

We did not trying to replace all our adapters by Spider Board. Multiboard is on stick right now - you can order it in anytime. Adapters for TSSOP-56 and VBGA-100 are under production right now. Soon they should be available again. Chips with TSSOP-56 and VBGA-100 package are pretty rare, so we did not produce enough of this adapters in the past, but now we already make them in Prague. Maxim Putivtsev will give you know when target adapters will appear in the stock. But as I said Before - Multiboard is available now if you want it.
