ST1000DM003 no respond to Crtl+Z

Postby ray1006 » 17.02.13, 20:34

Hello everybody,
I have a problem with some HDD that do not respond to the terminal command and when you hit Ctrl + Z they do not show "F3 T" , for example I have one "ST1000DM003 ROHS" that it has Busy Problem and when you enter Ctrl + Z in Terminal mode it show " 9 ".
1- what can I do for some HDD that do not respond to Ctrl+Z?
2- what can I do for new HDD like above (ROHS) or LP or green Seagate?

I am waiting for all of you

with Best regards

I had a similar situation with a 3TB seagate grenada. CTRL Z gave me a 9. It ended up being a problem with terminal adapter. My terminal is version 1 , newer PC USB TERMINAL 2 worked with it fine.

Sorry to say, but you guys are cutting wood here.
Seems you heard about some tricks and try to apply them without having an idea how it works and in what circumstances it can be used.
Drive doesn't work? Ah, let's just short some points. Still does not work? Let's regenerate the translator... (do we know what it is? No. But who cares...)

And since this forum is cut open, probably no valuable info will be shared here anymore...

Well,
I Wonder Why They Split Nand Flash Forum And This One Seperate First .And Why on Earth They Make This Open Now .You Pay So Many Dollars For Free Information .This is Stupidity .If We All Raise Our Opinion They Might Change This Approach .If They Are Feeling The Heat Of Competition Why Not Lower The Pricing of The Tool
